The settlement of each order will show you in details what were the assumptions that you had based that order on and how it was actually carried out. You may check what were the actual costs of the materials, how long the employees and the equipment actually worked and whether any additional raw materials were used during production. This will give you a concrete idea of the production costs and provide some basis for improvement.
We know that not all production costs are directly tied to a specific order, which is why qcadoo MES gives you an option to specify periodic overheads for all orders. You may decide on the amount of added costs, such as the manufacturing department overheads or the sale overheads. This will ensure that the actual production costs are real and that your accountant is happy.
In qcadoo MES, you may very easily record the causes of changes of dates and quantities in production orders by using a pre-defined variance causes list. Based on this, you will be able to generate an end-of-the-month report with data such as the most common causes of delays in starting the orders – you will know whether it was because no raw materials were available on time or maybe because a specific machine broke down.
